▲THIRTEEN▲

Last week, a friend asked me this question:
"If you could change any part of your face, what would it be?"

For as long as I can remember, even when I was young, I've been hating my forehead. I have a very high forehead, which some people say means being very "smart & clever".

Got this off Google:
"A wide forehead expresses your cleverness and practicality - being someone capable of executing duty diligently."

When people tell me that I'm like ... whatever... high forehead is damn ugly?! Experimented with fringes in secondary school, am not gonna post any pictures here cos it's damn awful. Like seriously, bangs gone wrong?? Hahaha then in JC, I actually went to school with curry-puff fringe. Was it like the in thing then? I wanna kill myself everytime I look at old photos. Also had side fringe for quite awhile till I entered SMU.

Still remember that Mabel was the one who cut my bangs for me in her house toilet. & since then, I've been keeping bangs till recently.. started pinning up my fringe cos I got sick of maintaining my fringe & was too lazy to keep trimming my bangs every week or so by myself.

Up till now, people still make fun of my forehead, it doesn't really affect me, as in like I won't feel sad or go home & secretly cry to myself type. My friends have called me luo han, octopus, monk, don't know what else hahaha. But some of my other friends think my forehead is perfectly fine & normal & some even want a high forehead?? So I really don't know.. cos when I look in the mirror I think it looks ok but in some photos....OMG... save me from my fucking forehead. LOL.

I recently told someone (can't remember who, was it my bf or mom) that I wanted to do plastic surgery to reduce the size of my forehead. Actually I have no idea how that works or is that even possible.. like stretch my hairline downwards? Or my face upwards?? Ok that sounds quite weird.. but I doubt I'll ever do it cos I have such a low tolerance for pain. Why can't my forehead just be a bit smaller.....sigh.

Idk if I've become plain lazy or what but I used to do eyelash extensions, for almost a year & a half, cos I have double eyelids but they fold inwards so it kinda looks like I have single eyelids most of the time. It really makes a big difference!! Just look below:

With eyelash extensions

& without eyelash extensions (actually, no makeup at all. Oh god I just realised my eyebags are terrible)

But in the past 6 months, I'm just like heck. Idgaf anymore, who's gonna see me?? Maybe it's cos I stopped schooling already so I don't have to go to town every single day & face like 100s of people. Idk? I also almost never use eyeliner or mascara anymore. Most of the time when I go clubbing I always pin up my fringe & just put basic makeup (no eye makeup at all) maybe cos I have a bf & I don't need to look good to attract guys anymore hahahahah kidding. I seriously don't know how I used to maintain my lash extensions all the time when now it's so damn shiok to rub my eyes & put a pillow over my face when I sleep. I used to be so kua zhang over my lashes, seriously, even when my bf tries to touch my face or kiss me, I'll automatically scold him like "oiiii my lashes!! Careful ley!" LOL wtf at myself really.

Recently I was discussing about plastic surgery/fillers with a friend who's a blogger & got sponsored to do some fillers thingy... her chin is really so much sharper!!! My Thai friends also keep pointing out to me that having a sharp nose is v v v LIFE CHANGING hahaha like it really changes your whole look & I agree! Just makes your face look so much better. But I'm such a scardy-cat when it comes to pain... seriously... hate injections & all.

But all in all, I think it's perfectly normal to wanna look better, especially for girls.. I don't see a problem at all with fillers, or some minor surgery, or lash extensions, or using makeup or even photoshop to try & make yourself look prettier. So I really don't get it when people say like "wah why your makeup so thick" or "eeeee she did plastic surgery or she surgically enhanced her face" please la, if the person is pretty then ok, good for her, what she did works for her.

So if one day I muster up my courage, I think I wanna make my nose & face sharper heh heh heh. Don't think I'll be able to stand the pain of reducing my forehead or like cutting more obvious double eyelids. Probably just fillers/injections.. think I'll be satisfied with those :-)

I'm really sorry... my entire blog is about Bangkok. But I only seem to remember to update whenever I come back from overseas... so...?? Heh I'll try my best to update regularly about other stuff after this post!

Went on a super impromptu trip to Bangkok on Monday. On Sunday evening, I suddenly realised I had to travel for work & get back to SG before 24th July cos my passport expired then. Sooooo... I wanted to go before I renew my passport for no reason in particular also la. I mean cmon its BANGKOK! Hahahah actually thinking back I regret going so I could have gone longer after I renew my passport but aiya nvm. Planned/checked tickets & hotel etc & booked everything at around 10PM. Went to the airport at 5AM. Super rushed, only slept like 1.5 hours?!

Took Tiger, worst flight ever. The plane was so small & unstable it kept shaking. I slept for about half an hour onboard. Reached the hotel around 9AM & Pai had a room ready for us to check in so we fell asleep till around noon. Was so so so so tired & I didn't even wanna drag myself out of bed T_T

Did the necessary, falling asleep all the way, too tired to even source properly wanted to just die. At least I had my fav steed meat noodles (I still dk what's steed meat. HORSE?) & mango sticky rice & cotton candy ice cream from Baskin Robbins.

Went back to chill in the room & had a mini fashion show with Robin, Bill, Pai & Ryan before heading out for dinner.

Bill drove Pai's car & we went all the way to Sathorn to find a petrol kiosk to pump petrol because Pai did not fill his tank since we last drove his car (3 weeks ago WTF). Went to Zense @ Central World! Had pizza (again) & Sukiyaki (can never stop eating Jap food) & other small bites, sat outdoor this time & it's so much nicer than sitting indoors! The view is awesome & there was a strong breeze.

Chilled & ate till around 10+ then they drove back & dropped us home. Watched an episode of Hormones & fell asleep........so freaking tired

Woke up the next day & it was some last min packing before we checked out & went to Siam Square for lunch @ Som Tum Nua. Seriously missing the chicken wings & BBQ beef & fried Thai noodles & som tum now... :(

then went to Sneaka Villa to get the Young&Hungry tee for Sherman, popped by VAC to check out new sneakers (none :() & went to Siam Paragon.. wanted to help Mabel buy her fit flops but got distracted by sales at Zara & H&M & grocery shopping, we just left Paragon without helping her find her fit flops bahahahaha.

Prints at H&M!

Went back to hotel to wait for Pai & Ryan then they accompanied us to the airport to chill at Starbucks for abit then.. bye bye +66 again! Shortest trip to BKK ever but awesome >48hours getaway + awesome spontaneous friends who accompanied us for dinner etc hehe can't wait for the next, again :-)

Visuals from my recent BKK trip!
Feeling severe withdrawal symptoms even though it's been a week since I came back, boohoo.

Flew over in the midst of the haze crisis Singapore was facing (lol) & was really sick as a result. Cough, lots of phlegm, flu.... yucks. Pardon my no makeup face cos I was feeling so shitty. But still gotta smile cos I'm heading to BKK! ^_^

LOL seriously. Got the coolest cap ever (thanks Sherlyn!) the front & back has a velcro area, & I can stick on velcro alphabets to make up anything I want. Yed gan mai is really so rude......... hahaha I shall not even translate what this means. Go figure.

I love MK! But it's so overpriced in Singapore, I think it's double or more than double the price in BKK. Tham mai ahhhhhh :'(

Hung out almost everyday at Siam Square. Lol stalked sneakers all the way! Left is Sherman's & the right one's mine c/o VAC Thailand. You can find them on Instagram @vacthailand. For those who were asking, I don't think they were cheaper in BKK. Its around the same price or a few dollars more expensive I think!

Som Tum Nua @ Siam Square, Soi 5. Their chicken wings & som tum & that weird wheat (??) noodles at the corner is damn good...... omg.... just wished they had more varieties of soup though. I didn't like the soup they had on their menu (some sour spicy pork soup)

Inhale Exhale Tee c/o Young & Hungry, camo print pouch c/o @sneakavilla

Dragged Pai all the way to ISAO cos we had jap food cravings. I don't know what's the hype over this place... the queue was really long but the food was really normal. The best thing we had was this! Super cute, I think it's called Jackie. There was something really crunchy & crispy inside.. I think it was prawn tempura. Their teriyaki salmon was ordinary. So was the unagi don. The other sushis we ordered was also alright only.

Address:
ISAO, Sukhumvit Soi 31

Wanton noodles/pig trotters at Phetchaburi Soi 19

Sherman drove Pai's car in BKK! Since we had to go to his house to get the car (yup he has a car but he can't drive) we decided to go to Chocolate Ville for dinner. It's superrrrr far away. But it's a really damn nice place!!

Pai's neighbourhood

Honey toast for dessert. Seriously this was A W E S O M E. It was so good!!!!!!!!!! The bread was so perfect.

Visited the pet shop which had the Tibetian Mastiff & Alaskan Malamood... They're selling Alaskan puppies for USD$2k each!!!!! But I don't dare to buy dogs from Thailand... they said the dogs were shipped from USA. But how to trust them?? Right??

Took these pics from their Facebook page:

(I really think the owner or whoever she is looks damn evil & scary & I don't wanna post her face on my blog but I'm too lazy to crop her out so...ya lol)

LOOK AT THE PUPPY HES SO BIG ALR & SO ADORABLE

& he'll grow to be this huge or even bigger!

The Tibetian looks cute here (looks damn dumb & gong gong hahhaha) but irl it looks damn scary..... SO HUGE

New addition: HUGE SAMOYED :OOOO

Went to watch ฤดูร้อนนั้น ฉันตาย & this begins a damn epic story.

The plan was to watch the midnight movie on Friday after we had dinner at Chocolate Ville, so Ryan booked tickets in advance & we drove back to pick him up after work from Chocolate Ville & headed to Central World. We reached the  counter to pick up the tickets at 1120PM & there was no one around the cinemas at all.... super quiet. Then the ticketing guy said there were no english subs for the show. WTF & even before we went to BKK I kept asking Pai if there was gonna be eng subs & he said yes, they have eng subs for almost every Thai movie. & the best part was NO ONE bought tickets to the show except the tickets that 4 of us reserved. WTF?

Soooooo... we sped down to Siam Paragon for their 1150PM show. Reached there at 1150 on the dot & guess what? They cancelled the screening cos NO ONE booked any tickets to watch the show. ?! Wtf on a Friday night? I think if it was SG we would have to sit on the floor cos the theatre would be full. Lol since we were already out we decided to watch World War Z in 3D. (Sherman & I already watched it in SG before we went) omg hate 3D shows, made me very dizzy & my eyes hurt

We were driving back to the hotel when Sherman suddenly turned into a one-way street. There were no cars (it was 2AM by then) so he made a U-turn & reversed all the way down the street cos we wanted to get Macs for supper. LIKE A BOSS eh really?!?!?!

Managed to catch the show in the end on Sunday afternoon....seriously. The show wasn't even that good. Lol to think we went to so much trouble just to watch that stupid movie. It's called The Last Summer, you guys can give it a miss when it starts screening in SG

Went all the way to Lad Pra Kao (near Pai's house) for mookata with Mummy! (his mom) it was buffet, & it cost 850THB for 5 of us. W T F that was like SGD$7 ++ per person you kidding me????

Sherman had food poisoning after that though hahahhahahahahahah. I don't think it was the food there cos nothing happened to the rest of us, he probably just didn't cook his food properly or something.

Sherman had diarrhea & kept puking the entire night on Sunday so we went to the hospital on Monday morning. Trolololol but Pai brought us to the atas one... near Sathorn. I forgot the name of the hospital but it's really quite nice! The service there is (Y).

Pai was in his work attire (black shirt, pants, blazer) so I got him to pose as our bodyguard. Hahahahhahahaha everyone kept staring & probably thought we were some rich fuck. Lol damn epic & fun seriously

Stayed in the rest of Monday & was so emo over going back the next day while Sherman was sick in bed the entire day... lepaked at the balcony by myself for an hour or so & the sky was so gloomy!

He was feeling better the next day so we went to Siam Paragon before our flight to try After You's toast. The queue there is forever insane, seriously we were damn lucky cos we only waited for about 5 min!

Shibuya Honey Toast, again seriously WHATS THE HYPE ABOUT. zzzzzzz the toast at Chocolate Ville was sooooo much better. Sighhhh or it is just me??? I really don't know bwahahha everything was just so mehhhhh.... SIAN

That's the end of my 9d8n. Bye +66 again. SOBZ.
