Went to Montigo resort in Batam, Indonesia over the weekend. The place was so amazing, really didn't feel like Batam at all! I've been to Batam with the Emixers but we stayed at Harris Hotel. This experience was really really different from Harris. So I'm doing a post on Montigo for those who've been asking how much we paid, what did we do etc.

Batam is an hour behind Singapore, we departed from Singapore, Harbour Front Terminal at 930AM & arrived at Batam Centre at Batam time 930AM. We were picked up by a driver from Eska Wellness & went to Eska opposite Nagoya Hill Shopping Centre for our massage.

I did the aroma therapy massage & a few of my friends did the hot stone massage. The aroma therapy massage is similar to the oil massage I do in Thailand, except it was a 100x more painful. I guess it's up to the masseuse you get cos the rest of my friends said it was quite shiok & not really painful. Lol I had bruises all over my body a few hours later?? Nearly died of pain. My friends who did the hot stone massage said it was really good. Prices were very reasonable, was between 22-27 SGD for 1.5 hours of massage depending on which you pick.

After the massage, we crossed opposite to A&W for lunch. Waffles & curly fries were out of stock till next week, like whuuuuuuutttttt...

after that we did grocery shopping at the supermarket. We bought lots of shit like chips, snacks, mixers, SHAMPOO, hair tonics, etc everything was v v v cheap!! The shampoo that I always use was around 2SGD (in S'pore its around 8SGD) our total bill was around 30-40SGD for all the nonsense we bought.

Drove around 45mins to Montigo. Montigo is actually nearer Nongsa Ferry Terminal but we bought tickets round way for Batam Centre because it was nearer our massage place as we could only check in at 3PM. We booked the sea front villa for around 480SGD from agoda.com, max capacity of 4 per villa so we booked 2. Ferry tickets were $45 per person for round trip.

Their service was v v good, they provided cold towels & iced tea for us to refresh ourselves while checking in, then came with a buggy to drive us to our villa.

It was a 3 story villa & the first floor had a toilet with shower, the living room with wii, an iPod dock, fridge, microwave etc & the private infinity pool

Second floor were the bedrooms! There was a master room with a king bed & another room with twin beds.

The last floor was a huge open area for chilling!

We were all screaming when we entered the villa lolol & started snapping photos like crazy & asking each other to get out of the way & stop blocking the view HAHAHA.

After we were done taking photos & facebooking & instagramming we all headed into the infinity pool for the rest of the evening hahaha we swam till our skin wrinkled up.

We called cabs at the hotel front lobby & went for seafood dinner. We went to this place called Batu Besar. Initially we wanted to go to Golden Prawn but it was an hour's drive away & we didn't wanna take so much time to go for dinner.

We ordered so much food it was cray. I can't really remember what we ordered?? Steamed flower crabs, chilli crab, salted egg crab, tom yum soup, lemon chicken, salted egg calamari, 2x steamed fish, gong gong, chilli clams, sweet potato leaves, kangkong, errrrrr?? Total bill was like 20SGD per person..... :OOOOOO

Went back to the hotel after to watch some TV, was too full to play wii & we headed up to the rooftop w our alcohol & drinks to chill the rest of the night awayyyy~ brought our own portable speakers so we had music throughout too

Went for breakfast the next day, their food was not bad & the outdoor restaurant was v v nice! The staff were all very attentive, I was telling Kaiyan that all the fans were switched off & it was very hot & one of them heard me & switched on the fan blowing towards us!! Hehee. Some of the staff also started to do the balloon art thing for kids having breakfast with their parents, damn cute.

Our view while having breakfast!

Didn't feel so well after breakfast so stayed in our villa with Mel while she swam in our pool while the others went to the common pool. After 30 mins Amin came back & said we HAD TO go join them cos the view was amazing & I was feeling better so we changed & went to find the rest.

It's like a pool area + a bar with sunbeds & all.

After swimming for abit, had to check out & headed to Nagoya Hill again for lunch. Had Ayam Penyet Ria! They have outlets at FEP & Lucky Plaza so we were quite excited to try the authentic one.

Look at the prices?!?!?! Like 1/4 of S'pore price. Lolol but the portion was also much smaller. I think SG's standard is around the same as the Indo one actually. Not much difference... after lunch Yanhan & Kaiyan went to go-kart while Mel & Jess went for another massage & I was so fucking sunburnt I think massaging would have killed me & rubbed my skin off so I went grocery shopping for more stuff with Junhao & Rag... bought some chilli sauce, seasoning for fries LOL & hair stuff again.. then cabbed to Batam Centre & came back to SG.

It was such an awesome trip & first time travelling with EVERYONE (with the exception of Safi & Ravi who're still in Aussie) although it was a short trip, it was sooooo amazing I really didn't wanna come back. Would recommend going for 3d2n so you've time to really enjoy & stuff, there're also seasports at Montigo but we didn't have time to explore it. Also, I only swam for 45min to an hour in the common pool but I got so burnt it's not even funny I'm totally suffering now so don't forget your sun block.

LOBSTER FACE LOL

Till the next trip!! XX

I've been getting quite a number of questions on Instagram, from friends, on Ask.fm about the stuff I cook & recipes etc. so I thought I'd share a couple today. I never, ever cook at home. I only make & eat homecooked food over at Sherman's place, together with his sister, Shermaine. If it wasn't because of her, I wouldn't even bother with preparing our own food & would rather just eat out for convenience's sake.

Sorry for the fact that I only have one picture of each dish we've made! I don't have a habit of taking many photos, even when I'm out with friends etc etc. I only take ONE good photo, which is Instagram-worthy (it then depends on my mood whether I do actually post the photo or not hahahah) I must also mention that I'm extremely impatient so Shermaine helps me take some of my photos hahaha I hate getting the lighting right, the angle, no shadows bla bla.

♥  Mixed "Salad"

This is obviously not a typical salad, but it's my version of a salad I guess? Hahaha, I'm not really a must eat clean must eat healthily kind of person, but for a period of time I TRIED. I hate raw veggies though.... so yup

1. Defrost chicken breast
2. Prepare & wash all veggies. In this bowl, I used broccoli, corn, snow peas, french beans, baby carrots, baby potatoes
3. Boil all veggies in a pot but don't over-boil them till they turn soft & mushy
4. Air-fry egg tofu
5. Season chicken breast with a teeny bit of salt & black pepper
6. Fry chicken breast & smoked sausages
7. Add in the veggies & add some salt to taste, black pepper & basil

♥  Egg/Veggie Cups

This was Sher's idea! I must be really honest, I thought this was tasteless. Hahahaha she doesn't use much seasoning except pepper in her food & she's fine with it, but if you know me well you'd know I'm addicted to all things salty. D: whoooops. I'm just listing whatever we did, but it's up to you to add seasoning to suit your own taste buds.

1. Boil veggies. I used baby carrots, broccoli & corn
2. Beat 2 eggs in a bowl, add black pepper
3. Take a muffin tray & oil it a little with olive oil
4. Put an equal amount of veggies in each section
5. Pour the egg into each section over the veggies
5. Place the entire tray in the oven

Tbh I have no idea what temp the oven was at or how long we put it in the oven for. We just randomly adjusted the temp & left it in but kept checking it to see if it was done? Don't over-bake though cos the eggs will end up a little dry.

♥ Veggie Stir-fry ♥

This was another of Sher's inventions! She made this once before & kept raving about it so we decided to make it together again.

1. Wash/chop veggies. I used cabbage, baby potatoes & baby carrots. These are my favourite veggies, I don't quite like french beans or snow peas so we left them out
2. Lightly boil the carrots & potatoes so they won't be so hard when you fry them
3. Prepare chicken stock. We used this chicken stock she bought from NTUC which is a healthier alternative & has less MSG, sodium etc. I'm really not sure what's the brand or how it looks like but if you really want to know, just leave a question on Ask.fm. We just added one tblspn of chicken stock to some hot water & stirred
4. Chop some garlic & fry in pan
5. Add the veggies in & stir-fry
6. Add chicken stock & let it simmer
7. When the veggies are almost done, crack an egg over the entire thing in the centre
8. Garnish with smoked salmon, seaweed & black pepper

Okay I think 3 is more than enough for now.

Which brings me to my next point: we are toying with the idea of selling the cutlery we use! Plating with cute/gorgeous utensils for eating & taking pics are a dream hehehe. I'm looking more towards ceramic/porcelain plates & bowls & she loves wooden boards, bowls, fork/spoon etc so...

This would be an example of the stuff we hope to bring in! Do let us know if it's a good idea or not? ;-)

XOXO

Mandy & I had sleepovers at each other's houses the past couple of weeks (Probably cos we missed each other too much from those 6 days in Bangkok & all her weird antics which I should definitely not talk about here...) So when she was over at my place we decided to do a BFF tag vlog! Lol the quality is pretty bad cos I filmed it using my MacBook & I have no idea how to edit videos, was my first time using iMovie so the cutting & pasting is damn terrible. Heh

-

The past 1.5 weeks have been fashion season in Singapore, was invited to FIDé Fashion Week by Willabelle so I brought Cindy, Shermaine, Mabel & Mandy along for the MCM show. Obviously, the highlight of the entire show was Rain's presence. In case you don't know who Rain is, he's a korean singer/actor & I googled his picture:

Yes, everyone went cray when he entered to take his seat for the show. Was expecting him to model or perform though... SAD. Also thought the show would take 30 mins tops but I think we spent almost 2 hours there! Anw I loved the Flower Boys in Paradise collection! Florals will never go out of trend. I know how some designs are so over the top no one in their right mind would ever think of wearing them out on a normal day, but was ten thumbs up. Especially loved the holographic shoes & casual sweaters. MCM is also now open at MBS... too bad for my bank account, I don't have to go to HK to get my MCM fix anymore ^_^

Okay my photos are so badly taken, I just couldn't multi-task while staring at the designs on the runway lol. The blurry first guy is actually some Korean actor (idk his name & I'm lazy to google it but he was very very hot hahahah) ok gonna grab some his pic off google -

LOOK AT THAT JAW

Skipped the Surrender show on Saturday cos my legs were aching so badly from wearing heels the night before (YES I'm so weak cos I hardly wear heels) but..... heard the show was awesome. Mainly because G-Dragon was seated in the front row which actually..doesn't really affect me cos I'm not really a fan. Well but still! Should be heading for the Julien Fournié x Love Bonito show this Saturday. The one that I really regret not going for was Guo Pei. !!!! Just search the hashtag #fidefw on Instagram & you'll see all her designs.... :OOOOO ahhhmayzinggg.

Okay abrupt ending, good9t hahahah
