Finally went back to BKK last week, was Kelvin's birthday trip & our first holiday together! We were actually supposed to go during my birthday but postponed it cuz they were having protests & the curfew back in May.
Flew on his actual birthday (20th)!
We initially booked Urbana Langsuan (as usual) for all our 5 nights, but I decided to book Lebua for his birthday night (our first night there) cuz he mentioned wanting to try the Hangover hotel! Yeap that's what it's usually known as to people haha. Obviously, my surprise plan failed cuz I can't keep secrets for nuts.... #loser
Brought him to Zense at Central World for his birthday dinner!
I previously went a couple of times before with my Thai friends & found the food okay, with an amazing outdoor area & view. This time it was gonna rain so we had to sit indoors, & the food was SO LOUSY. I ordered salmon steak with miso honey sauce, & they didn't debone the entire fish. I was removing bones with every mouthful, it was so sickening okay???? His grilled seafood platter was so so only also. I was so annoyed.... no view + lousy food = angry me.
So to make up for the quite awful dinner, we went downstairs to After You for dessert. I've been there once before & thought it was damn normal & not worth the hype, but this time I changed my mind!!!!! After You is so awesummmmm
We ordered the fererro toast & lava cake (small portion) cuz we thought it'll be too much for us. The lava cake was really small tho but was really good (yup, means alot coming from me cos I hate chocolate) it wasn't super sweet and thick and hard to swallow!! It was 9/10 stars. Last time I tried the shibuya honey toast & it was mehhh but the ferrero one was niceeee.
Went back to Lebua & found this in our living room. 10 THUMBS UP FOR SERVICE?? We didn't even tell them it was his birthday, they probably noticed his passport or something.
& the thing I was anticipating the most... breakfast at Lebua!!! Love the spread it's just unimaginable. Hahahha so excited to have my cronut lor pls
I insist on having dinner at Jae Koy every single time. Everyone said my Thai handwriting was nice, even nicer than Pai's kekeke
These 2 cakes also really annoyed the shit out of me!!! They looked so good in pictures, but tasted damn meh....... the milo crepe cake was so-so, better than the Thai tea crepe cake, which didn't even taste like tea at all. It just tasted like NOTHING. Creamy, and sweet. Sigh...or is it just me???
Anyway, if you wanna go try, it's at Audrey Cafe. I went to the one at Siam Centre, but they have outlets at Central World & Thonglor I think.
I've long gotten over A&W & accepted that it SUCKS but the guys just insisted on having some... lolol
Without fail every time I'm at Chatuchak I will drag Pai & everyone to find these noodles. MY FAVOURITEEEEE *_*
WAH THIS IS .....!!!! Crepe-like rolls with hotdog inside. Found on the streets of Silom. 10 BAHT....I need 10 NOW
BANANA EGG PRATA DRIZZLED WITH CONDENSED MILK & SUGAR HOMG
My favourite crepe opposite Platinum, near the wanton mee that's so famous which I've had like 10 times & still don't get the hype its not even nice lor?? Didn't eat it even once this trip lol. Anw this crepe was 50 baht & had sausage, cheese, crabstick, mayo, ketchup inside..... DROOLS
Haven't eaten at Platinum food court for so long! I took 1 hour to walk the first 2 levels of Platinum & I bought 1 handphone cover & 1 top. Sometimes I think I'm not a girl..... this trip, I bought a total of 3 tops, 1 shorts, 4 pairs of socks, 1 coin pouch & 1 handphone cover. LAME.... like to everyone going to BKK is a holiday & a shopping trip but for me, I just go there & do the usual things like chill, hang out at cafes, eat, watch movie hahahaha
Dinner at Festival Walk @ Kaset Nawamin w Beer, Nahm, Puen & Pai!
Then dessert at Pancake Cafe at Nawamin Avenue City.
Hello Kitty Cafe which I've been dying to go... which was quite retarded actually. The queue was sooooo long... we waited for about 20-30 mins. & the dessert is like so-so only, its just cuz it's hello kitty so it's cute. Hahahah oh well still a must-visit at least once!
Went to Talad Rod Fai at Seacon Square, took 1 hour to get there from Silom cuz of the jam, but only 20 mins to get back to Langsuan (Chid Lom area) so I don't really think it's THAT far if not for the traffic. The place was alright, gigantic & we didn't have time to finish walking. But somehow I feel the old Rod Fai near Chatuchak was better eh...
There's also some stupid curfew on clubs now so all the clubs close at 2AM. WTF? We reached the clubs usually around 1230 or 1 LOL.... went to Safehouse & WIP. Didn't really party much tho the operating timing was just so bad. Like before you know it the club is closing already, stay home and sleep better right!!!!
Okay the end bye I miss BKK & my friends terribly now.
