EATING HEALTHILY // RECIPES

Last week, I decided to start eating a bit healthier (honestly, I don't really like to use the words eating clean haha) cos I'm going back to BKK for almost a week. I plan to eat a lot in BKK cos I haven't been back there for almost 4 months, hahaha so if possible, I wanna lose a bit of weight first...? I mainly substituted my dinners with healthier options.

To those asking, these meals are really easy to prepare! I've kinda listed the ingredients & how I made em so it's really convenient to do it at home as well. :-)

Meal #1 :
Steamed chicken breast seasoned with black pepper
Hard boiled egg
Boiled broccoli & carrots

This was by far the hardest to swallow... it was completely tasteless & I was struggling while my bf was eating chicken chop next to me. D: the chicken breast was fine with me since I like chicken breast but the boiled veggies.... omg. Lol

Meal #2 :
Oven-baked salmon seasoned with black pepper & garlic
Stir-fried portobello mushrooms seasoned with garlic, black pepper & a pinch of salt
Avocado seasoned with chilli flakes
Hard boiled egg
Boiled edamame & corn on a bed of lettuce

I ended up throwing away the lettuce cos I just hated the raw veg taste... YUCK. The avocado was also not really to my liking, I wonder how salad bars make their avocado puree so tasty. But it was okay when I mixed it with the corn & edamame.

Meal #3 :
Subway Cold Cut Trio salad
Added chicken breast

So I had my CCT salad with an additional chicken breast, with lettuce, pickles, tomatoes/cucumber (my bf ate those, I only eat lettuce & pickles from Subway) & I cheated abit cos I added sweet onion sauce. I was quite sick of eating clean food already by then hahahaha

Meal #4 :
Pan-fried salmon seasoned with black pepper, garlic & abit of soy sauce
Stir fried cabbage, carrots, corn & edamame simmered in 1 teaspoon of low-sodium chicken stock mixed with water

I think this was by far my favourite meal, it was yummy and nice & I felt so full after that.

What I had for lunch for one of those days :
Not exactly a healthy meal... had mini croissants with cheese & smoked salmon. I guess the healthy part would be my fruit-infused water I made by reusing the VOSS bottle my bf got me!

The bottle is so cute & its made of glass, but the downside is that the bottle mouth is quite small so you gotta cut your fruits smaller or else they won't be able to squeeze in or out. VOSS is pretty expensive, $5 for a bottle of water? But I guess it's worth it since the bottle is recyclable.

I've also made fruit-infused water quite often now & there are ALOT of variations you can try. Almost any fruit can go into water & make it taste good! So far my favourite is strawberry-lemon, lime, orange-strawberry (Y)

Also tried this cos I've been seeing it all over Instagram. Baked an egg in avocado! Gotta cook the eggs but not all the way, so when you scoop it out the yolk breaks then you can mix it with the avocado heh. Found it abit hard to just eat it like this though, would recommend dipping some toast in it or something.

Besides these meals I've prepared myself, I just try not to eat too unhealthy things.. except that once I ate Macs for dinner lolol. Been having Subway quite a few times too cos I'm lazy to cook or prepare food most days now. I guess I'm just the kinda person who eats whatever I want most of the time, & my idea of dieting is just cutting down on unhealthy food & choosing healthier options I guess.

My flyknits also came in the mail yesterday so I guess I'm gonna get dragged to go jogging more often now. Does anyone know if my legs will grow bigger if I jog too much?? Been getting contradicting opinions haha. I love flyknits now, can use em to jog & it looks good when you wear em out too. Dope kicksssss heheheee. Will also be starting on a teatox soon so stay tuned~
